CARE

JEWELRY CARE

14k Solid Gold

Gold is resistant to rust, tarnish, and corrosion. Although gold is very strong, it's also the most malleable of all precious metals. Pure gold is too soft for everyday wear, so it is alloyed with a mixture of metals like silver, copper, nickel, and zinc to give it strength and durability.

  • To clean gold jewelry, use a solution of warm water and detergent-free soap with a microfiber cloth. Store your gold pieces in soft cloth bags or the original box to protect them from the elements of daily exposure.

Sterling silver

925 Sterling Silver is an alloy consisting of 92.5% pure Silver and 7.5% Copper. Our Sterling Silver jewelry is plated with rhodium, an incredibly rare metal, which is utilized to achieve extra shine and longevity.

  • Since Sterling Silver is sensitive to H2O, avoid water when wearing your piece. Over time the sterling silver will likely show oxidization, however, the natural oils from your skin help keep sterling silver from oxidizing faster. So, wear often, and keep your piece in your M Jewelers box to keep oxygen

Gold Vermeil

Gold vermeil is sterling silver plated with 18K gold. Unlike regular gold plating, gold vermeil is a much thicker layer of gold and is meant to achieve lasting results.

  • To care for your gold vermeil jewelry, keep away from water, and sweat as much as possible removing your jewelry Before exercising, swimming or showering. To clean your gold vermeil piece you can buff it gently with a dry cloth. Make sure to store gold vermeil without direct contact with other jewelry.

Gold Filled

Gold Filled metal is made by permanently heat-bonding a layer of 14 karat Gold to an alloy/base metal. Gold Filled has 100 times the amount of 14 karat Gold as plating. It is strong, durable, and resistant of tarnishing. The result is a metal that looks and wears like 14 karat gold.

  • The easiest way to clean your gold filled jewelry is to scrub it with an old soft toothbrush and shampoo or dish soap. Rinse well, pat dry, and air dry.  Make sure your jewelry is completely dry before storing it.

Diamonds

Diamonds are one of the hardest natural substances found on earth!

  • While diamonds are incredibly durable, they can still suffer from chips and small fractures. Using warm water, soap, and a microfiber cloth buff the stone and setting, then thoroughly rinse everything to ensure there is no residue left over then set out to dry.
